Body

Thanks to its wide and strongly waisted body ("Coke Bottle") and particularly flat cabin, the EL1 appears tremendously dynamic and "forward going" even when stationary. The wedge-shaped body, the somewhat larger rear wheels (20 inches at the rear, 19 inches at the front), and the flared wheel arches typical of the 1980s further emphasize this impression.

The striking carbon front of the EL1 radiates enormous power with its hidden high- and low-beam headlights. The large square, black LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) integrated directly into the bumper provide a special effect.

The elegant air vents in the hood bring back memories of old "combustion engines. However, these are not just design elements - because sensors and the charging port are hidden behind them.

Both front and rear are dominated by dark, illuminated carbon elements framing the license plates. The striking, illuminated ELEGEND lettering at the front and between the Daylight Opening (DLO) and rear spoiler immediately catches the eye of admirers on the road.

With its slim A-pillar, trapezoidal C-pillar and beefy rear end, the EL1 has the typical look of a sporty coupe in the style of the classic Group bolides.

Aerodynamics

The exterior mirrors of the '80s originals are replaced in the EL1 by slim and lightweight camera mirrors for better aerodynamics.

Another homage to the great rally role models of Group B: the NACA air duct, which directs the air over the roof and the embossed plastic rear window directly onto the rear spoiler. The massive carbon lip acts as a tear-off edge.

A large diffuser in the lower part of the rear end forms the aerodynamic finish, which once again brings out the full power of the vehicle.

EL1 – a master­piece of retro­futuristic car design

If you look closely, you will recognize in the EL1 the great prototype from the 1980s. Many characteristic details have been lovingly and respectfully modeled on the historic model. Nevertheless, the EL1 is not a copy of a classic car but an independent new development that picks up typical stylistic elements of the 80s and combines them with all the technical refinements of our time.
